Dead Sea Salts are renowned for their healing and therapeutic effects since ancient times. The waters from the Dead Sea are unique in that they contain 27% of other salts besides sodium, as compared to 3% of these other salts in normal seawater. These other important salts (magnesium, calcium and potassium) are important minerals (also known as electrolytes) for fluid balance, moisture retention, slowing skin aging, increasing circulation (essential for tissue repair) and strengthening bones and nails. Minerals are capable of restoring moisture inherently by their hygroscopic nature (ability to absorb moisture from the air), and therefore are absorbed into the skin cells, enhancing intercellular fluid capacity and fluid (moisture) to the skin.

Sunflower Oil is the fatty oil of the plant’s fruits, produced by cold pressing. It has a high amount of vitamin E and functions to moisturize without leaving the skin feeling oily. It is also often used as a massage oil (because it doesn't leave an oily residue) and to speed wound healing.

Jojoba Oil is used in many skin care products as a carrier for oxidation sensitive substances. Jojoba oil is often used to assist in fighting wrinkles, improving extra dry and aging skin, and for many other skin problems. It has been found to help rejuvenate the skin and promote new cell growth for repairing skin tissue, without clogging the skin with oily residues. Jojoba oil will not block pores that can cause acne.

Aloe Vera Gel has been used for centuries for its healing properties and its unique ability to calm and sooth irritated skin. It is an excellent companion ingredient included because it functions to help soothe the skin after exfoliation with the Dead Sea Salts and the sodium chloride. Aloe is also used specifically in this formula as a “carrier”, which allows the moisturizing oils and nutrients to penetrate deeper into the skin and work more efficiently for moisturizing and rejuvenating.

Green Tea polyphenols applied topically have been found to protect the skin by inhibiting chemical carcinogenic or ultraviolet radiation-induced negative effects. In addition, green tea polyphenols have been shown to have an effect on the biochemical pathways involved in skin inflammation and also functions much like an antioxidant, protecting from free-radical damage.

Tea Tree Oil is used often to assist with minor skin conditions associated with dryness, mycosis of the nails (fungus), skin infections, ulcers, burns, and insect bites. It is used also as a disinfectant. It can help to keep skin and nails stay healthy and fungus-free.

Rubini Blend is naturally derived from raspberries and red grapes, used in the formula for natural pink coloring.

Avocado and Grapeseed Oil are used primarily for their moisturizing effects. Grapeseed oil is also a powerful antioxidant, which can protect skin from environmental and free radical damage.
